Hugeeee Fiesta this Thursday the 23rd at CDLC!!

In order to celebrate the launching of Adrenaline Industries (this website :P), we are having a HUGE party at CDLC this Thursday. Invite all your friends, this party is gonna be legendary. It will also be the last time many of us will see each other again as my study abroad friends are going back to the USA soon, so show up strong, party hard, and let's enjoy this Goodbye Party at CDLC, one of the nicest Lounge Clubs in Barcelona!!

Party details...

CDLC, right next to Opium Mar on Pg. Maritim (near the beach!)
Dress code ~ same as Opium or Sutton, collared shirt/nice shoes for guys
Best to get there at 1:00am, list closes at 2:00am
Afterwards ~ Sutton or Opium

How To Get VIP Treatment At Any Club

How to get VIP treatment at any club..

- Go early. Funny things happen once it gets later on in the night. Bouncers start to select who they will or will not let in. Possible excuses for them not to let you in: piercings (yea, even ear piercings for guys), shoes, not wearing a collared shirt, even hair. It's ridiculous. If you go early, you will have a much easier time getting in without any hassle, and many clubs offer special promotions like cheap drinks, a free drink before 1, or free Cava for girls before 2am, check with your favorite promoter or whoever invited you for more details. 

- Get to know the promoters. This one is probably the biggest one here. Promoters can hook you up with free drinks, free VIP on your birthday, bottles of Cava, free entrance, and all sorts of promotions. They can even sometimes get you to cut the line or get you in after the guestlist has closed. It varies from club to club and person to person, but these people have the connections that can make the difference between you having an average or even shitty night from you having an amazing time. 

- If you're a guy, bring girls. This seems like common sense, but on any given night you'll see swarms of guys on the prowl, the club needs these dudes because they buy drinks and make money, but if you want to have a good time, bring some female friends with you, you're more or less guaranteed to have a better time. 

- Don't get belligerently drunk. Yeah, we all do it sometimes and it's fun once in a while, but I can't tell you how many people I've seen getting kicked out of clubs for not being able to hold their liquor. It's embarrassing, and it's a shortcut to a shitty night. Plus, rumor has it that some clubs LOVE kicking drunk people out..helps keep their reputation as being more "exclusive" as well as ensuring everyone else has a good time. 

- Have a birthday party! Lots of clubs offer promotions like a free bottle of Cava on your birthday, especially if it's a group of mostly girls. Take advantage of this, contact a promoter ahead of time and have them arrange with the club to see if this is possible. 

I can't tell you what a relief it is to know someone who works there, whether it is a bartender or a promoter or a doorman. These people will take care of you, and sometimes thats what makes the difference between feeling like an anonymous customer to feeling like a welcomed guest. It pays off big time to be nice to the people who work there and make friends with them, and that's why it's also a good idea to pick a couple of your favorite clubs and bars and start to frequent them instead of hitting something new every week. 

Putting all these tips to work might take a little while, but soon enough you'll start knowing the right people and the right things and your night will get 100% better. How to get free entrance to (almost) any club in Barcelona

Never pay cover again!

I figured I'd start the tips and advice section off with a bang. I feel like I'm violating some promoter code of ethics by posting this, but I want you all to have a blast here in Barcelona, and there are better things to spend money on than cover charges at clubs (like..bottle service at clubs :P ..but that's another post). This post is the culmination of what I've learned over the past few months, so read it carefully

Without further ado...how to get into clubs for free in Barcelona!

Exceptions: Apolo (besides Nasty Mondays) and Razzmatazz

Here's what you do..

1. Do a Facebook search for the event or venue you want to go to for free. Almost all clubs have promoters that offer free entrance before a certain time, and maybe even a free drink or special offer. Sometimes they will add you, but by being proactive and searching out these groups, you can take advantage of it.

2. Make friends with promoters, whether virtually (through facebook) or in real life. They'll hook you up with parties, drinks, and it's their job to make sure you have a great time. Find a couple who treat you well and who you like partying with, it's a lot more fun than going to random clubs where you don't know anyone :P

3. Go online to www.listasgratis.com or www.clubzone.es – These are two of the biggest „guestlist“ gathering sites and they can hook you up with free access to lots and lots of clubs. Not as personal of an experience as a promoter, but they'll get you in.

4. Go early. 1:00am is very early for some clubs, and they'll sometimes let you in for free. When you go early, ask the girl/guy with the list if anyone has an open list on that night. This might or might not work, depending on how charismatic you are :P

5. Be mindful of how long lists work until! Oftentimes it's 2 or 2:30am for most places, or 3:00 or 3:30am for clubs that go late (ex. Opium, Elephant, Ribelino's). Be sure to plan ahead and get moving fast, I can't tell you how many times we finally made it to Otto Zutz at 2:45am only to face a 15euro cover..who wants to pay that?

6. If you can't figure it out, call me and I'll help you out :P I get invites to almost every major event going on in Barcelona, and my friends promote for different clubs around the city. Plus, you could say it's my job to know what's going on ;)

Hope that helps you all, it's something I wish I knew when I first got here. Also keep in mind that different clubs are DRASTICALLY different on different nights...like different music, different crowd, different party. Check out the facebook pages or ask a promoter for more info about the vibe on each particular night.

DELICIOUS PARTY - Thursdays at CDLC - VLAD'S LIST

The name of this party is Delicious...you'll find out why ;)

DJ MULY lights it off with the best HIP HOP, R&B, and DANCE HITS. This is the best night to come if you want to hang out with friends and get your dance on. The music is incredible and the crowd is young and friendly.

Details ~``

• Location - Metro Stop Cuitadella/Vila Olimpica (L4), literally right next to Opium, Catwalk, etc. 

• Time - This club gets hot around 12:30-1am, so that's a good time to arrive. It goes until around 2:30-3:00am, at which point you can shoot over to Opium Mar and keep the party going.

• Dress Code - Look classy. You'll probably be going to Opium or Sutton afterwards, so you should be all set ;)
